High solid high build epoxy coating incorporating glass flakes and inert pigments which cures at above and below water level having excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion and fresh / sea water.

Can be applied to steel and concrete structures in splash/ tidal zone

Can be also used in conjunction with CP

Can be applied to non-blast cleaned surfaces

Volume Solids (Based on ASTM - D2697) - 84% + 2%
Typical Dry Film Thickness - 500 Microns
Wet Film Thickness - 595 Microns
VOC (Test Method -USEPA 24) - 160 gms / Ltr

Additional Information

Designed Use: Suitable as topcoat for upto C5, IM 2, IM3 Environment as per ISO 12944 Part 2.
Thinner/ Cleaning Solvent: Solvalux 7-45
Packaging: 20 ltrs
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of manufacture.
Other information: Common with all epoxies this product will chalk or discolor on exposure to sunlight . May also be applied between 250 and 500 Microns DFT.
Colour: Limited Shades

POPULAR SYSTEM

One or two coats of Steelshield 1200 @ 250/500 microns dft per coat directly over blasted steel or over Epilux primers. Please consult Berger Representative for recommending suitable paint system
